Health essay An Ethical Dilemma

There are many dilemmas that students come across in their education and medical training. One is known as medical negligence. The nurse’s responsibility under medical negligence issues involves giving quality care and treatment that is non-invasive as well as avoided reckless harm, and most importantly, promotes dignity, respectful behavior, and providing positive treatment that is respectful. Healthcare systems should create an environment which is just in a way of recognizing truthfulness in the patients and a system which has respect for all. When someone has a learning disability or illness, they certainly should be able to have their wishes followed.

What will Happen if the nurse does not follow through with the orders from the doctor? First of all, the development of a comprehensive assessment of the symptoms of the patient is critical so as to deal with the problem. Then, the nurse must acquire information in order to accurately report the results of the assessment. Therefore, nurses must go through everything the patient ever told the doctor, the nursing journals, and understand the exact information to which the patient, his friends, as well as the family give admissions. Nurses and doctors should create a betterment of the system that includes decisions on any vital adjustments made to order the treatment of the patient, as well as the initial assessment of the health, including diagnostic studies. In addition, the patient must be properly informed of the decision on dieting he has been previously provided with. The patient will have no knowledge to make the correct decisions and the doctor may even provide an illness, which requires the patient’s outpatients to be tested for serious illnesses or when his family issues are revealed. At this point, the physician is called to make a quick diagnosis of the matter and orders the nurse to follow up with the patient. The doctor also indicates the tendencies of the patients to overeat, which gives an emotional impact to the patient. The doctor may give symptoms of an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), diabetes, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as well as blindness.

Risky decisions include; overall recommendations concerning what the patient may eat and drink, they will have no knowledge to make the right choices and the doctor may even recommend that the patient stop his or her caffeine intake, and the doctor may recommend the patient to discontinue his/her drinking alcohol. The doctor may also give symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), diabetes, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as well as blindness. In addition, the nurse has to make their investigations into the possibility of drug abuse. In order to avoid cases of the failure of services, the administration of the right treatment, the patients will be prescribed medications which should be used by patients with medication use disorders. In the future, the hospital will lose their license of patients services, the doctor will have to suffer any number of job difficulties, and the nurse will have to face punishment.

Recalling that ethical dilemmas may surround this patient, then all the following suggestions should be made. The first suggestion is for the patient to communicate with his/her family that he/she will lose his or her license of patients services if he/she can not consume food of a prescribed type. Other than that, the patient must make sure that the patients have given information on health assessments of the patients as well as other long-term health appointments, his/her medical history, and the past 12month’s treatments. Hence, the doctor should begin by determining for the patient if the patient has had a dental procedure, gone to an occupational and family health professional, has had behavioral records, gotten drug and alcohol examination, etc. However, in the case of the nurse who is not the one who has assessed the patient, the family members can place some long-term recommendations on the patient that will keep the patient healthier. Nevertheless, the doctor should take the evidence for the patient into consideration.
